It is clear that there were twelve tribes of Israel. The split happened when the Assyrian King Salmanasser took nine tribes of Israel out of Northern Canaan (Northern Israel).
You can read about this here:
The 3 tribes that were left in the Land of Canaan (Israel) when the Messiah came were Benjamin, Levi and Judah predominantly.
You can find out where the three tribes of Israel went when the temple was destroyed the second time as, prophesied in the book of Daniel chapter 9 here:
The Diaspora Of The Jews And Where They Went
So, now we have established where the tribes went it is also good to see that covenant being fulfilled that was promised to the Israelites and then to the world.
The Messiah himself said that:
Matthew 15:24
24But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
And he also said to his disciples:
Matthew 10:5-7
5These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
So we see that the Messiah knew that he came to bring salvation to his people first, the rest of the people could also receive salvation by believing in the Messiah, but he was sent to fulfill prophecy concerning Israel.
Yo can see prophecy below that tells you why Israel need the Messiah to save them, they were enslaved and and are still enslaved today economically and socially in all the countries of the world:
Jeremiah 50:6-7
6My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their restingplace.
7All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.
So here is is clear that the other nations who enslaved the Israelites from the trans Atlantic slave trade and those in North and south America see no wrong in what they done because Israelites broke the commands that the God of Israel gave them.
Lets find out now whether the Messiah confirmed his covenant with the tribes left in Israel at the time of his coming and those that travel to the land Aserath aka America in 720BC.
We can see the confirmation of the Messiah covenant to 3 tribes, who were called Jews at the time, with his resurrection from death and his disciples confirming it.
Edge Of The Sea Of Galilee
The Messiah resurrection is confirmation that YHHW accepted him as a sacrifice (also confirming Daniel 9:27 prophecy) for all of Israel and all men that believe.
So lets look at scriptures that confirm the Messiah covenant through his resurrection. These confirmations can be found in the new testament for his confirmation to the Jews and the book of Mormon to see his confirmation to the 9 tribes of Israel.
So lets get into resurrection of the body of the Messiah:
Matthew 28:1-7
1In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
2And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
3His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
5And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
So we see that the Messiah resurrection during the Sabbath (called Saturday today) just before the first day of the week (called Sunday today). So this is the resurrection being confirmed to the 3 tribes left in Jerusalem (Israel).
The disciples then see the Messiah in the flesh later on, although some of them doubt it, which is understandable this, this is proof of his Resurrection from the dead:
Matthew 28:16-17
16Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
So now we have see the Messiah confirming his covenant with the 3 tribes of Israel left in the Jerusalem, what about the ten or nine tribes that left in 720BC and after and had traveled to Aserath aka America?
To see the Messiah appearance to the ten lost tribes in America we have to read the book of Mormon:
Here is prophecy from an Israelite called Samuel in the Book of Helaman Chapter 14, making mention to the death and resurrection of the Messiah in Jerusalem while in the Americas, which corresponds to his death and resurrection in the new testament:
Helaman 14:13-16
13 And if ye believe on his name ye will repent of all your sins, that thereby ye may have a remission of them through his merits.
14 And behold, again, another sign I give unto you, yea, a sign of his death.
15 For behold, he surely must die that salvation may come; yea, it behooveth him and becometh expedient that he dieth, to bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, that thereby men may be brought into the presence of the Lord.
16 Yea, behold, this death bringeth to pass the resurrection, and redeemeth all mankind from the first death—that spiritual death; for all mankind, by the fall of Adam being cut off from the presence of the Lord, are considered as dead, both as to things temporal and to things spiritual.
So now if we read on, just as the Messiah showed him self to the 3 tribes of Israel (the Jews) after his resurrection he also done the same with the 10 lost tribes in the Americas:
3 Nephi 11:11-15
11 And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning.
12 And it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words the whole multitude fell to the earth; for they remembered that it had been prophesied among them that Christ should show himself unto them after his ascension into heaven.
13 And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto them saying:
14 Arise and come forth unto me, that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands and in my feet, that ye may know that I am the God of Israel, and the God of the whole earth, and have been slain for the sins of the world.
15 And it came to pass that the multitude went forth, and thrust their hands into his side, and did feel the prints of the nails in his hands and in his feet; and this they did do, going forth one by one until they had all gone forth, and did see with their eyes and did feel with their hands, and did know of a surety and did bear record, that it was he, of whom it was written by the prophets, that should come.
So its revealing to see the resurrection of the body of the Messiah and all the promises fulfilled. If we piece these things together the scriptures give us the truth concerning the Israelites.
I hope hope you are seeing the importance in the truth, not just its bearing on the Israelites but, all of mankind as well, but it is arrogant to say that people the Most high gave the Laws statutes and commands to are not relevant today.
To end this it is nice to see that after the Messiahs resurrection he says:
Matthew 28:18-20
18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
So when the covenant was fulfilled for the Messiahs people Israel he told the disciples to preach teach and baptize all nations in his name. So if you are not of the nation of Israel then you can still keep the commandments and laws, in spirit and truth by not pretending that the true Israelites are no more!
